Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about kitchen wrapping, our showroom, and how we work.

Cost & value

How much does kitchen wrapping cost?

Most jobs come in between £1,000 and £2,500. Our average over the last 12 months was under £2,000. A full refurbishment with new slab doors can reach up to £4,000, but that is a ceiling rather than the norm.

The final price depends on the size of your kitchen, the finishes you choose, and how much you want done. The quickest way to get a figure is to use our online booking system, which will work through the options with you and give you a realistic estimate.

Is kitchen wrapping cheaper than getting a new kitchen?

Yes, by a significant margin. Kitchen wrapping is up to 80% cheaper than fitting a brand new kitchen. You keep your existing units and layout, so there is no structural work, no new plumbing, and far less disruption to your home.

The work

How long does the job take?

Most kitchen wraps take around two days. The exact time depends on the size of your kitchen and how much work is involved. We will give you a clear timeline when you book.

Do I need to empty my kitchen beforehand?

It is not essential. You do not need to strip out the kitchen before we arrive. Clearing the worktops and removing anything fragile will help our installers work faster, but we will let you know exactly what to expect before we come.

Can you wrap any kitchen?

In over three years of trading we have yet to say no to a kitchen. If it is solid enough to wrap, we will wrap it. If we spot any issues during a home visit we will tell you honestly before any work is agreed.

Can you see the joins or seams?

On worktops we use mitred joins, the same way you would see on a standard kitchen worktop. It is visible up close, but no different from what you would expect from a tiled or laminate surface.

On doors and panels we plan the layout carefully to keep any joins out of sight as much as possible. Avoiding visible joins is always a priority for our installers.

Do you wrap worktops?

Yes. Worktops are included in our mid-range wrap from £1,500 upwards. We can wrap your existing worktops or fit new ones as part of a full refurbishment.

Can you replace kitchen doors as well as wrap them?

Yes. We manufacture our own slab doors in-house, which means we can do far more than a standard wrap. If your existing doors are damaged or you want a completely different style, we can make and fit new ones. One company, start to finish.

What’s the difference between wrapping and painting a kitchen?

Both refresh your existing kitchen without the cost of replacing it, they just go about it differently.

Wrapping applies a durable vinyl film over your doors and units. It is quick and clean (no dust or fumes), usually done in two days, and comes in a huge range of finishes including woodgrain, marble and textured effects.

Painting, typically sprayed for a smooth finish, bonds colour directly to the surface. This gives you almost any custom shade you like and a hard-wearing result that suits intricate or detailed doors particularly well.

Neither is simply better. Wrapping tends to win on speed, budget and finish variety, while painting offers more colour freedom and handles profiled doors well. The right choice comes down to your style, timescale and how your kitchen gets used. Not sure which suits you? Get in touch and we will talk it through.
