When a door needs replacing, not wrapping

Wrap follows the shape of whatever is underneath it. A door that has swollen near the sink or dishwasher, split at the hinge or started to peel will still look that way once it's wrapped, and the film may not hold on it.

So we replace it. New doors are cut in our own workshop, wrapped in the same finish as the rest of your kitchen, and fitted as part of the same job. Doors that are in good shape we simply re-cover, because that costs you less.

How we make your new doors

From measuring up to fitting, it all stays with our team.

  1. 1At your survey

    We measure every door

Sizes, which side it opens and where the handle goes, all recorded for your kitchen.

  2. 2In our workshop

    Cut on our CNC

Each door is cut from MDF to the millimetre, hinge holes included.

  3. 3In our wrap room

    Wrapped to match

Your new doors get the same finish as the rest of the kitchen.

  4. 42 to 3 days on site

    Fitted with the rest

New doors go in alongside the wrap, and we tidy up at the end of every day.

A recent job in Uddingston

We cut 19 new door and drawer fronts for one kitchen from three sheets of MDF. The corner cupboard had one door before; now it has a pair. Every front was wrapped in beige to match the cornice, kick plates and end panels.

Common questions

About replacing doors rather than wrapping them.

See all our questions
Can you wrap a swollen kitchen door?

Not if the board itself has swollen. Wrap follows the shape underneath, so the swelling would still show and the film may not hold. We cut a new door instead and wrap it to match.

Will new doors match my wrapped doors?

Yes. New doors are wrapped in the same finish, in the same wrap room, as the doors we re-cover, so they sit in with the rest of the kitchen.

Can you change how many doors a cupboard has?

Often, yes. On a recent job in Uddingston we turned a single corner door into a pair. Tell us what you'd like when we survey and we'll tell you honestly if it works.

How much do replacement kitchen doors cost?

It depends on how many doors you need and what's being wrapped alongside them. New doors cost more than wrapping the ones you have, so we'll tell you honestly which ones need replacing. Ask for a free quote and we'll price it for you.
