If you were at the game when Rangers played FK Jablonec in Europe, you might have seen our name. Kitchen Wrapper were match ball sponsors, with KITCHENWRAPPER.COM on the pitchside boards, along the stands and on a full-page advert in the programme. We love backing Scottish football, whatever team you follow.
It started with vinyl, not kitchens
Our founder, Alex, wrapped his first kitchen over 10 years ago. He was in the sign trade then, putting vinyl on vehicles, shop signs and commercial jobs, so he already knew the material inside out. The only new part was kitchens.
It didn't take long to see that the same hard-wearing architectural vinyl could give kitchen doors, cupboards and worktops a fresh look for a fraction of the cost of replacing them. That idea is still the heart of kitchen wrapping today.
From a garage to our own workshop
Kitchen Wrapper launched in 2022, in a garage. Replacement doors were made with basic hand tools and the wrapping was done by one person. Every job taught us something, and every happy customer helped the business grow.
Today we work from our own workshop in Cambuslang. A CNC machine cuts custom kitchen doors to the millimetre, so a door that used to take a full day by hand now takes minutes. Doors are wrapped in a dedicated wrap room before they go in, and you can see and feel the finishes in our showroom before you decide.
Last year we did around five kitchens a week, for everyone from homeowners to some of Scotland's biggest landlords. We're one of the biggest buyers of architectural vinyl in Scotland, and we now teach it too, on kitchen wrap training courses at the same workshop.
Our name round the pitch
Seeing KITCHENWRAPPER.COM go round the pitch at a European match was a big moment for a small team from Cambuslang. Our programme advert said "New look. Same quality.", which is what a kitchen wrap does: the cupboards stay, and the look changes.
We've got a long way to go, but this felt like a step towards what we're aiming for: a name people across Scotland know when they think about a tired kitchen. You can read more about the team on our about page, or see what customers say on our reviews page.
Looking for a sponsor?
We'd like to back more of Scottish sport and the communities we work in. If you run a club, a team, an event or a community group and you're looking for a sponsor, email us at hi@kitchenwrapper.com and tell us about it. Big or small, any sport, any team.
